Dear St. John Families,
We hope you all had a wonderful summer!
As summer winds down and a new school year begins, we're excited to kick off another year of Sunday School now called Faith Formation and Confirmation classes. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to dive into another year of growing in faith, making new friends, and discovering more about God’s incredible love.
We are excited to be adding some options to our ministry programs. This year Wednesday nights will be expanded. We will be offering a light meal at 5:15 PM, followed by a 30 minute Evening Worship Service starting at 6 PM. Immediately following the service, we will have Faith Formation (AKA Sunday School) for Pre-K through 6th grade and Confirmation Class for 7th & 8th grades. We will still be offering Sunday School (same as Faith Formation on Wednesday nights) on Sunday’s following the Worship Service from 10:15-11:00 AM.
With these new changes to our programming, we are also seeking parent volunteers to help support our Faith Formation (Sunday School) and Confirmation classes. Your involvement can make a big difference in creating a positive and enriching environment for our young people. We are asking that each family help with providing 1 light evening meal using the SignUp Genius link below. We would like to have 1 adult volunteer each Wednesday for both Faith Formation and the Confirmation classes. It may be easier to do both in the same night; provide the light meal and then help with either Faith Formation or Confirmation class.
On Wednesday, Sept. 11th, there will be separate parent meetings for both the PreK - 6th grade Faith Formation students and the Confirmation students. The Faith Formation meeting will be held in the Sanctuary @ 6PM. The Confirmation meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall @ 6:30 PM. Please attend with your child(ren). There will be no meal or service on the 11th.
To make sure we’re ready for everyone, we ask that all students be registered by Sunday, September 11th. You can register online by using the QR code below. You can also indicate your willingness to volunteer on this Faith Formation Registration form.
